API RING — Terms of Service

Last updated: September 12, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing or using the API Ring browser extension (the "Extension") or the API Ring pages on this website (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Description of the Service

API Ring is a Chrome extension that lets you save API keys on your own device, organize them, and copy them back in two clicks. The Extension stores everything locally in your browser's extension storage. This website hosts the download page, product information, and the newsletter signup used to unlock unlimited key storage.

3. Your Keys Are Your Responsibility

Keys you save with API Ring never reach us — we have no access to them, no copies, and no ability to recover them. You are solely responsible for the security of the keys you choose to store, for the device you store them on, and for complying with the terms of the API providers those keys belong to. Only store keys you are authorized to use. API keys are credentials: treat them like a bank PIN.

4. Free Tier and Newsletter Unlock

The Extension is free. The free tier stores up to 5 keys. You can unlock unlimited key storage at no cost by subscribing to the Plunder & Riffle newsletter on this website. Newsletter signup and email delivery are handled by our newsletter provider (beehiiv) under its own terms and privacy policy. The unlock state is stored locally on your device; there is no account, no payment, and no subscription fee.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use the Service to store or distribute keys obtained unlawfully or in violation of any provider's terms, to reverse-engineer the Extension in order to circumvent its limits, or to redistribute the Extension as your own product.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties — the Chrome Web Store (distribution), beehiiv (newsletter), and GitHub (source code hosting) — each governed by its own terms and policies. Plunder & Riffle is not responsible for the availability or practices of third-party services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plunder & Riffle shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of keys, data, profits, or API access — arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
